TWIN topology

This configuration is called a “twin” or “back-to-back” converter because the input and output stages use the same topology. A twin solution is often required for industrial drives cases such as dynamic lifting and other machining processes that produce excessive braking energy that needs to be recovered and fed back into the grid.
